SCCS is an official delegate to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) process. As such we have joined with other civil society groups from across the world at every annual UN climate conference since 2009 to ensure that civil society is heard while politicians debate and decide what action to take at a global level.
As well as organising and facilitating events to tell decision-makers in other countries what is happening in Scotland in response to climate change, we have blogged from the conferences so that people can Scotland can understand what is happening and how it relates to Scotland. We have also been interviewed at conferences by Scottish journalists looking for that Scottish civil society perspective on what is going on.
You can read our blogs from UN climate conferences on the News section of this website.
