Your suggestions for climate new year’s resolutions in 2024

We launched our new year’s climate resolutions campaign at the COP28 Global Day of Action on 9th December in Edinburgh, and have gathered hundreds of suggestions from people across Scotland for new year’s climate resolutions for party leaders to commit to.

I work in conservation and see the impacts of climate change here in the Hebrides for example the greater intensity of rainfall and stormy weather making island life more difficult for both the human and wildlife populations. Climate change is already causing huge suffering and conflict around the world. We've got to act now!

I am writing to implore you to take action to save the planet, as an 86 year old woman if you do nothing it probably won’t effect me but it certainly will affect the lives of my children and grandchildren.

The climate is important to everyone including you for life, we need to change, and we need to do it now, because without the climate we can not do anything thats vital for life. This is a very important topic that we can not push aside for the importance of everything and everything thats grown to live on this planet, please CHANGE. LIVES COUNT ON IT.
